Level: EasyPrep: 15minCook: 25minYield: 4 Servings

Ingredients

Pan-seared Italian Sausage (1 pound)
Unsalted Butter (4 tablespoons)
Garlic (3 cloves)
Heavy Cream (1 cup)
Mozzarella Cheese (1 cup shredded)
Pasta (1 pound pappardelle)
White Wine (1/2 cup)
Parmesan Cheese (1/2 cup grated)

Directions

1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain.
2
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
3
Add the pan-seared Italian sausage to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Add the white wine and cook until almost completely reduced, about 2-3 minutes.
4
Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let cook for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
5
Pour the cream sauce over the cooked pasta, tossing to combine. If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to help the sauce coat the pasta. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
