Healthy Green Smoothie For Family Mornings
★★★★★ (55 Reviews)
Ingredients
Banana (2)
Mango (1 cup frozen)
Pineapple chunks (1 cup fresh)
Avocado slice (1)
Romaine lettuce (2 cups loosely packed)
Spinach leaves (4 cups loosely packed)
Lime juice (1/2 cup)
Macadamia nut milk (1 1/2 cups)
Spirulina powder (1 tsp)
Directions
1
Add frozen mango, pineapple chunks, banana, and avocado to blender, and blend until smooth. Add in some water (up to 1/2 cup) as the mixture will thicken once it is frozen. Add romaine, and spinach to blender and blend until everything is completely pureed.
2
Add lime juice and spirulina powder to the blender, and blend for a few additional seconds until well combined. You can add the macadamia nut milk and blend on a low speed in the blender so that it mixes with other liquid without foaming.
3
Blend the mixture on high for about 30-45 seconds until it becomes a frothy consistency. The more you blend the thicker it will be.
4
Taste the smoothie and add more lime, or sweetener as per your preference. This can be anything from honey to stevia, or even your favorite fruits such as berries, mango or pineapple.
5
Divide the green smoothie equally into three to four glasses and serve immediately. Add toppings as desired, such as fresh fruit, a sprinkle of spirulina powder or shredded nuts.
