Healthy Turkey Chili With Beans And Bold Flavor

Ingredients
Turkey breast, boneless and skinless, ground
Red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Black beans, drained and rinsed
Chopped onion
Minced garlic
Diced bell pepper
Diced fresh tomatoes
Tomato paste
Ground cumin
Smoked paprika

In a large Dutch oven, heat a couple of tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until it starts to soften, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning.

Add the diced bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes, until it starts to soften.

Add the diced fresh tomatoes, tomato paste, cumin, and smoked paprika. Stir well to combine.

Add the ground turkey, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Once the turkey is fully cooked, add the red kidney beans and black beans. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
