TEXAS TAMALE PIE CASSEROLE – Best Family Dinner

Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef
1 Medium Onion, diced
1 Medium Bell Pepper, diced
1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Ground Cumin
1 can (10 oz) Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
1 package Jiffy Cornbread Mix

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large skillet, cook ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.

Add diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until tender. Stir in chili powder and cumin.

Stir in diced tomatoes, condensed cream of mushroom soup, and cooked ground beef mixture. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes.

Mix shredded Monterey Jack cheese into the beef mixture. Set aside.

Pour the beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with Jiffy cornbread mix and bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
